What We Charge

At Clear Cut Accounts we believe that we can change your business for the better, and save you money, minimising the tax you pay to the HMRC. We also pride ourselves on being open and honest with all of our clients. That’s why we clearly state our prices from the start.

We give a personally tailored quote to all of our clients in writing before we start working together, but below is an indicative list of our fees.

More complex / larger businesses will be charged more based on the level of paperwork.  Fees will be billed on completion of each element of work, or monthly for ongoing accounting support. These prices are fully inclusive of most expenses incurred whilst working on your behalf – such as mileage, postage, photocopying, meetings and phonecalls. You won’t get hit with extras!

All clients must read and sign a Letter of Engagement before work starts, so that you know what services you are going to receive and how much you will be charged. This makes sure that our roles and fees are clear from the start, and helps us to provide you with the best possible service.

All prices quoted are subject to VAT at 20%.

We will never charge you anything extra without agreeing it with you first.

Monthly Fee Packages

For most clients we now offer a monthly package, to help with cashflow and so that you know what our charges will be throughout the year. These packages will be reviewed annually against actual hours spent on your account.

Pay As You Go Fees

The following charges apply for those clients who wish to use our services ad hoc, rather than on a monthly plan. The below charges will apply for work already completed if anyone joins us on a package, but then for any reason leaves before work starts.

Director’s Self Assessment (Existing Clients) from £50 per return
Bookkeeping not included in a plan from £21 per hour
Tax Advice not included in a plan from £40 per hour

Prices are for illustrative purposes and are correct as at 1st March 2020. Individual quotations are provided to all customers before work commences. All fixed price basic plans are assumed to be completed from reconciled accounts. If extensive bookkeeping is required on the accounts before they are reconciled, this may be charged at our hourly bookkeeping rate.
